These No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Energy Bites and the Peanut Butter Oatmeal Smoothie both make the perfect grab-and-go breakfast or can quickly be prepared for a satisfying snack anytime of day. I like to prepare the chocolate peanut butter energy bites on the weekend so I have a quick snack to grab all week long, and the peanut butter oatmeal smoothie works great as a nutritious and filling breakfast.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Energy Bites
Both of these recipes are full of delicious peanut butter flavour and are packed with the nutrition needed to keep you going for hours. The combination of peanut butter with dark chocolate, oats, raisins and flax tastes amazing and the same ingredients can be mixed with chocolate almond milk for a nutritious smoothie.
To make the chocolate peanut butter energy bites, all you need to do is quickly melt the dark chocolate then mix it with the other ingredients, press it into mini-muffin cups and patiently wait! Only 6 ingredients needed…bonus.

Mini Peanut Butter Oat Cups
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Cook Time: 30 mins
- Total Time: 35 minutes

- 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries (I used raisins)
- 1 1/2 cups oats
- 1 cup Adams 100% Natural Creamy Peanut Butter (crunchy works too!)
- 2 tbsp agave syrup or honey (use agave if vegan)
- 1 tbsp ground flax, chia seeds, or wheat germ (I used chia seeds)
- cinnamon to taste
- Melt the chocolate in a microwavable bowl or on the stovetop over low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until melted.
- After the chocolate is melted, mix it together with the other ingredients in a bowl.
- Press the dough into lined mini muffin tins.
- Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
- Makes 24 mini bites.
Peanut Butter Oatmeal Smoothie
- Prep Time: 2 mins
- Cook Time: 1 min
- Total Time: 3 minutes

- 1 1/2 cups chocolate almond milk
- 1/3 cup oats
- 1/4 cup Adams 100% Natural Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 tbsp honey (or agave or maple syrup if vegan)
- 1 tsp ground flax seeds
- cinnamon to taste
- 2 pieces of ice (add more for a thicker shake)
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Thin with additional milk if desired.
